Authentic Materials
There a number of materials other than textbooks which can be used within an English Classroom. Some people use authentic materials, the materials which are created to fulfil some social purposes in the language community in which they are produced. (Little et al, 1998 in Guariento &Morley 2001 in their article Text and task authenticity in the EFL classroom in ELT Journal Volume 55/4 2001).
Those materials include timetables, application forms, announcements, recipes, songs, movies, newspaper, advertisements, and many others. English teachers may use some of those materials to enrich their classrooms so that the students will not be bored of using only textbooks.
